SPIN - ON TYPE AIR/OIL SEPERATORS  
Although the spin-on separators are smalll in size, their main advantage is that the capacity can be increased by using separate units in line connection. They are designed as easily exchangeable elements not requiring any separator housing. The flow is either from inside to outside or from outside to inside.

The pressure loss is around 0.25 bar at normal operating conditions with 1-3mg/m3 carryover oil content and flow rates are in the range of 0.6 to 6m3/min under 7 bar operation pressure. The separator canister can withstand to 20 bar pressure and mounted verticaly. There are two systems for the discharge of separated oil. Accumulated oil is removed through a pipe and recirculated. The discharged air should be dry and oil free.
